peter pan syndrome

i never want to be too old for toys
make believe, building blocks, puzzles and cute little boys
i never want to be too old to climb trees;
blow bubbles, balloons, cotton candy and ice cream.

i never want to be too old to watch cartoons,
horror movies, fairy tales, blues clues..
i never want to be too old to do silly things
run around doing crazy stunts, bike adventures, "little" fun.

i never want to be too old to make rhymes;
write stories, poems, BELIEVE IN LOVE.
i never want to be too old to believe in prince charming;
white horses, big castles and the happily ever after they bring.

i never want to be too old to scream;
roller coasters, merry-go-rounds, carnival rides, fun house..
i never want to be too old to run;
skate and believe that i could fly.

i never want to be too old for anything.
but best of all, i never want to be too old to believe in dreams.
BELIEVE IN MYSELf and WHAT I CAN BE.
I'LL NEVER BE TOO OLD FOR ANYTHING. :D

nahalukay sa lumang starbucks-slash-scrapbook. pagbigyan nyo na ko.. kelangan ko nito.. i need to believe in myself that i can be whatever i want to be.. my admission to graduate school lies in how i perceived myself.. a fairy dust here and there.. and i am tinkerbell fluttering around with peter pan..

nice poem. kuhang-kuha yung meaning ng PPS. nakaka-relate ako sa gantong mga senaryo, i know you can be whatever you want. just believe in yourself, grace. naniniwala rin ako na kaya mo. san ka ba mag-aaral? sabay na rin ako. haha.

remember..

no one is ever too old for such things.. it's the social norms playing with the mind when the reasons for doing these things are stopped..
